New line cinema distribution

The institution, new line cinema tends to make high budget films. Some examples of high budget films would be se7en with a budget of $33,000,000 and a gross profit of  $100,125,340 which is definitely signified as a well rated film from the audience. Another being the Hobbit trilogy with a budget of $180,000,000 for the first film 'The hobbit: An unexpected journey and with a gross profit of $303,001,229, meaning many of the new line cinema films have made more than a big enough profit then they began with.

To make money out of my film I would make sure that the distributer would advertise the film like many others with trailers, as this is a popular way of letting people all around the world know about it and it almost insures that audience members would come and watch it in the cinema’s. For our groups film, I think it is a better choice to release it in a chain cinema like Odeon as they have many around the world in given areas, this would almost insure that we could then make a profit from the release of the film on DVD, as films that go straight to DVD usually end up as failures due to the lack of publicity they have been given. There would be a DVD release of the film in which there would also be a link to a website or fan site made about the film with merchandise to get people interested in the concept of it all.
