Props list
props
- Two whiskey glasses, which have to be identical as we are using them to swap the whiskey glass for the apple juice, without any of the audience noticing that they are different drinks.
- Whiskey, which will either be Jack Daniel's or bells whiskey due to the fact that we have to find an apple juice that looks similar to the whiskey so that it is believable to the audience.
- We need old wine bottles out of the recycling to give the impression that he is an alcoholic.which we will place all around the room to represent him in a way of sadness and depression so that the audience feel sad for him without realizing that he is a killer.
- Old newspapers as we will also pile them up by the door to make it seem as if he doesn't care about the outside world anymore and he hasn't been outside or around people since his daughter passed.
- Police badge that we will hopefully be able to get off of amazon to show his previous job role and how different he is from that character in the opening sequence that we will film.
- Family photograph and frame which we will have to shoot before the our filming day as we want it to show him happy with his family and then crack the glass to show the destruction in his life.
- The Hammer is the prop that we are using for the fathers weapon and how he ends up killing the girl.
- Home phone which is important as it will be the prop for the source of noises that we are going to build up to show the fathers anger and to radically show how different he is from his first impression that the audience will have.
- Ash tray, as we want to create the occurring theme that he is a smoker in a depressive state of mind.
- Duck tape is what we are going to use to tape around her mouth and her wrists to show her in a dangerous situation but we also don't want to give the impression that he is the one that enforced the danger on her because that would give away their relationship from the very start of the sequence, so we are also putting them in different rooms to make it looks as if they are in completely different areas and that she is not his victim.
- Rope is going to be used to tie her ankles together as he is going to use force to pull her down towards him and if we were to used duck tape then it would hurt the actress as it will stick to her skin.
- Apple juice, as this will be used to appear like the whiskey as we can't get our actors drunk on set because we will need to retake the scene more then once, meaning he will be drinking more and more of the juice and not the alcohol to keep the set professional.
- We will also need a TV with a blank screen to make him appear lonely and that his only social contact is with technology.
- Cigarettes, as this keeps the reoccurring theme of his depression and sadness as a character.
- We need to use a lighter that doesn't work so that we can be sure that the lighter won't work every time we shoot that specific shot.
- We need to use a side table to create the right scene in which the father can place his ash tray and bottles on. This is because we need to shoot a pan of the room and all of these props and the side table will make this easier as it will enable us to set all of the props on one table and all in one shot.
- Police documents which will be scattered around the room to look chaotic and that the stress of his job has inflicted on his actions.
