The characters in all three of these films, specifically 'fracture' and 'lincoln lawyer' are about a man that tries to do right by his responsibilities to solve a case and to suspect the right person as the villain and as the guilty one. The main themes and events that take place within these films is a court case and recollections of the crime committed by the villain, making the main theme crime and legal issues. Another theme that is in all three of these films is a romance between both the main characters and another character, this is probably used to interest all spectrums of an audience, therefore widening the possibilities for a target audience. The events all occur the same in the sense that they all begin with the situation or murder that needs to be solved by the main characters that are introduced. The films both end with a conclusion and that the guilty people have been caught, doing right by the heroes of the plot. Mise en scene is used similarly in all three of these films, as the lighting in certain scenes within the film is darker to set the tone, whether it be more serious or scary. The costumes all tend to be common and usual, with the use of suits for the lawyers to give them importance. The props used introduce horror and darker conventions with the use of guns, which suggest danger for the characters of the film. This is probably one of the sub genre's I would want to use in my own thriller as I think the idea is interesting for the audiences point of view as it allows them to configure the ending and the murderer before they are revealed.
